![]() On being frozen, you instead are placed in 1 turn of permafrost. Ice King gives you a 33% chance to gain a random water-related buff when casting a hydrosophist skill. Not sure if I would take this talent on anyone else.Demon now gives you a 33% chance to gain a random fire-related buff when casting a pyrokinetic skill or receiving Necrofire. Glass Cannon requires a well thought out set up and some cheesing, but I can see this being very effective on Undead characters, and especially Fane, since he can get an exta turn. Picture of Health scales decently well into the late game on Warfare based characters, if you want extra durability. Same thing for living armor, you need quite a few points into Necromancer and high damage output to make this really worth it. Savage Sortilege and Hothead are not very useful until you get high enough critical chance, which won't happen until much later on, so they are some of the last talents I pick up. I usually favor Executioner over the Pawn, but the latter is undoubtedly very useful for Rogue characters to position for backstabs, and I can also see it being useful on Pyro based characters, because you could Phoenix Dive into the fight and use the free movement from The Pawn to step on the created fire surface and get AP discounts from elemental affinity.Įlemental Affinity is great for Necro, Aero, Hydro and Pyro based characters, but I usually don't rush this until you have a bit more skills to use. Also Arrow Recovery and Elemental Ranger on archer character specifically.Įxecutioner is usually a talent I pick as 2nd- or 3rd one,, once your getting enough damage output to kill stuff. Executioner, Elemental Affinity, Savage Sortilege, Hothead, Living Armor, The Pawn, Picture of Health, Glass Cannon (If your feeling brave). Opportunist is basically a must have on any melee character, just free damage. Torturer is good in general on Geo/ Pyro based characters, not so good otherwise. ![]() An extra Civil ability point is very useful early on, because it means you can squeeze more value out of Thievery and Lucky charm in the beginning, and the extra combat ability point is very good for Summoners to reach rank 10 asap, but it becomes insignificant later. ![]() +3 memory is very good on a caster early on in the game, but become insignificant at higher character levels. You could technically do animal related quests and then respec in the ship act 2 onwards, but that's too tedious and I enjoy talking to random animals, as they often give you some tips/ hints on how to progress.Įarly game talents: Mnemonic, All Skilled up, Torturer, Opportunist. Must have talents: Pet pal on at least one character. The thing about talents is that some of them are very good early game, while others are better mid- late game.
